Today in Sarina

We decided to have a slightly slower day today and so we went to Hay Point to see the coal loading terminal - it is huge!!!!!!!!!! Quite a number of ships were out at sea waiting to be loaded.

We then took a drive visiting Sarina's beaches. Dipped our toes in the water and found it quite warm. There were a few brave souls swimming and the sea was a beautiful torquiose colour.

The beaches were quite deserted - for the tourist season. Tomorrow, Saturday 31st, we are going to have a 'rest' day. Just laze round the place, have a few drinkies, bit of a chat - ya know - do all the hard stuff. Spoke to a couple yesterday, about our age, they have been on the road for 7 years now and still loving it. Another couple plans their travels around 'events' - rodeos, races, shows etc. We are not that organised yet. We just hitch up and go - but we have found out that can cause some problems - our next stop is Bowen to collect mail - had trouble getting into a park. Luckily we are equipped to sleep by the side of the road! Have to leave this blog as it is "Sundowners Time" - cannot miss out on that!
